Example 1

Example 2

This figure is properly labeled and label lines do not intersect. It contains a descriptive caption below the sketch for easy interpretation, and depth is indicated with a dashed line.

Caption Column chromatography apparatus set-up used to purify the experiment sample. Silica gel represents the stationary phase whereas the eluent represents the mobile phase. As the components of the sample separated, the stopcock was closed and the collection flask swapped such that only the compound of interest was collected.
