A1: Magnification of A Drawing

To determine the scale of a sketch or drawing, we must know the size of the object we're drawing and the size of the image we're representing this object with. Mathematically, this is expressed as

\[m = \frac{d}{o}\]

where

• \(m\) = magnification (or scale) of drawing
• \(d\) = size of drawing
• \(o\) = size of object
